Services : Mentoring
Your simulation diverges? You have a project but got stuck? You have a project but do not know where to start? You have a student, who is stuck with a simulation/solver? Mentoring could be a solution.
Mentoring services consist of mainly:
- Help with installation and building OpenFOAM®1.
- Help with cases setup.
- Mesh generation and modification.
- Best practices implementation for the discretization and linear solvers.
- Scripting for the recurrent tasks.
- Plotting and visualization.
- Guidance and help with additional features implementation and basic programming
The mentoring pricing is as follows:
| Package | Remote – O2M office |
|---|---|
| 8 hours | 600 EUR HT |
| 15 hours | 1100 EUR HT |

Notes
- The mentoring services provided are intended solely for the purpose of offering general guidance and informational support related to the subject matter under consideration. These services do not constitute, and shall not be construed as, formal consulting or professional advisory services. Under no circumstances shall the provider of these mentoring services offer any opinion, assessment, or endorsement regarding the validity, reliability, accuracy, or utility of any results—whether preliminary or final—arising from the subject matter. Furthermore, the provider shall not be responsible for drafting, reviewing, or contributing to any final report or formal documentation associated with the work.
- In order to enable a meaningful assessment of the simulation and to provide appropriate guidance, the mentee is required to submit a comprehensive and detailed log file of the simulation. Accordingly, prior to engaging in mentoring services, the mentee must ensure that a properly functioning and complete simulation case is available. Failure to provide such documentation may limit the scope and effectiveness of the mentoring support offered.
- If the mentee requests that simulations be run from scratch and the provider agrees to do so, each standard case (up to 1.5 million cells) will be billed as one hour of mentoring. Large cases (exceeding 1.5 million cells) or complex cases involving advanced physics—such as moving bodies, source terms, or conjugate heat transfer—will be billed as three hours per case. Additional hours may be charged depending on the complexity of the case. These conditions apply exclusively to steady-state simulations. Unsteady simulations will incur additional time charges, subject to evaluation.
